Glimpse of Buntot Palos
Buntot Palos Falls is now a very popular hidden paradise of Laguna. It stands at 80 meters in height and considered to be one of the highest waterfall in the country. This waterfalls is surrounded by rocky cliffs and abundant vegetation This waterfall is one of the time consuming when it comes to trekking, it will consumed 1 ½ hours before reaching it. It is famous from its massive, strong and raging flow of water. The locals also dubbed it as Eel's tail although the resemblance may be difficult to see if you look closer to it.

How to get there: Buntot Palos Falls is located in Brgy. Balian Pangil, Laguna, just 2 hours travel time away from Manila. It’s so easy to locate this place, just ride a UV Express or a Jeepney going to Tanay, Rizal (fare is Php 70.00). From there, you will now ride a jeep that is going to Siniloan, Laguna (Php 47.00). As you arrived in Siniloan, ride another Jeepney going to Pangil, Laguna (Php 12.00). You will see a big tarpaulin promoting Buntot Palos Falls and that’s also exactly the jump-off area.

Buntot Palos Falls
It's not that easy to reach this hidden waterfalls of Laguna because it will take a trek almost 2 hours. The trail is protected by the forests so the tourists will not be exposed to sunlight. It's better if you visit this place during rainy season for you to witness the raging water of the waterfalls.

Scorching Sun
A closer look to Buntot Palos was really a rewarding view to everyone. It's definitely one of a kind and a true hidden paradise. You can swim but you can't hide from the burning heat of the sun. I suggest you to put sunblock first before soaking in the water.

Under The Raging Water Experience
This was probably the best part of my experience here. The raging water was really great and a natural way for relaxation. It's advisable not to wear your slippers or sandals because the rocks within the area were very slippery. Better be extra careful to prevent from getting tumble. I also suggest you to use a waterproof camera because the water splatter might damage your gadget if it's not. You can also use a sealed bag if you still want to use your gadget in a safety way.

Wide Catch Basin
This is the catch basin of the waterfalls. You'll love the mossy color of the basin and the rocky portion beside. There is a certain part where it's literally deep (center area) and the shallow part where everyone can swim (side area). It's better if you use a sandals because the bottom part of the basin is rocky. The water is composed of tiny fishes that you can actually see from the basin's clear water.

Rocky Basin
Just like in our case, we went here as early as 7 AM in a holiday (Philippine Independence Day) but we didn't experience to huddle in many people. It's still better if you visit this place during weekday to assure your trip a not so crowded getaway. You will definitely enjoy this hidden paradise of Pangil.
