Laiban Falls |
Laiban Falls is the newest attraction of Tanay, Rizal. It is
located in Brgy. Laiban where this waterfall got its name. This waterfall is
one of the highlight in Mt. Ngusong Kabayo and Tangwa Peak expedition. Laiban
Falls gained its popularity because of its picture-perfect water basin in
turquoise color. It’s very accessible and just 2-3 hours ride away from the
Metro.
It is composed of more than 4 waterfalls but still named as Laiban
Falls in general. The first waterfall is said to be the eating area according
to our guide but please do leave no trace policy. The water is very clear and
rich in blue algae that made its color very attractive. Most of the water
basins are shallow and very spacious where the tourist can swim and relax.
There are parts where the rocks are slippery and a bit steep but still
manageable without the help of tour guide. Laiban Falls is surrounded by thick
forest with different species of flowers and it is also rich in Paco Plants where you can use in making
a salad.

The most exciting part in this Laiban Falls expedition is the
famous blood sucking animal known as Limatic.
There is a certain part where the guide will tell the tourist to run just to
escape from Limatics, the faster the better but safety first all the time.
TIP: Bring
salt or put detergent soap from your shoes/sandals up to your knee to prevent
these Limatics suck your blood.
