Burot Beach
Burot Beach is a remote beach located along the shores in the town of Calatagan, Batangas. It is private property but still open for public as of this day. It is one of the under developed and unspoiled beaches in southern part of Luzon. Since the place is not yet innovated, the comfort rooms are not in a good status considering its slow flowing faucet and there's no cottages as well but you can rent a tent and just look fro a place where you want to pitch it. Burot beach is definitely good for fun under the sun with the pristine water of the beach.

How to get there: No wonder why Burot Beach became one of the most visited beach nearby Metro Manila. It is just a 2-3 hours travel time and so easy to locate. You just need to ride a bus in Alabang Terminal going to Lian, Batangas (Php 135.00), it will take another 2 hours from your itinerary. Once you're there, ride another bus that is going to Calatagan, Batangas specifically in the market area (Php 35.00). Another ride in a tricycle going to the jump-off area where Burot Beach is located (Php 50.00).
Long Shoreline
It is not a typical beach that has a lot of activities to offer. It’s still under developed, no room accommodation and no electricity. All you have to do is to enjoy the amazing beach of Burot. You will be mesmerized by the pristine clear water as well as the Burot’s very own semi-fine cream powdery sand. Aside from exploring this beach, you can also rent a boat for an island hopping and coral reef watching for only Php 150.00 per head. No need to worry if you're carrying your own car because the place is so spacious where you want to park and the good thing is it's for free.
Rocky Portion
Explore the whole place for you to realize that Burot isn’t just about the beach itself. This part of the island is one of the best spot for picture taking. You will love this rock formation that showing the beautiful sea behind. Make sure that you already used a sunblock for the protection of your skin from the blazing heat of the sun.

Floating Cottage
If you want something different in terms of cottage, try this floating Cottage in a bamboo raft. It’s placed far from the shoreline to emphasize the extraordinary experience in Burot Beach. I wasn’t able to get its price but if you’re in a big group, it’s for sure that you’ll pay lesser from the expected expenses. Make sure that you get the number of the tricycle driver so you can easily advise him if you want to leave the area because there's no mode of transportation going back to the Calatagan market.

Dark Scenario
What will you do if the calm and sunny day of your beach adventure turned out to be an unexpected rainy day? Are you going to leave as soon as possible or just wait until the rain stopped? In our case, we waited for about 2 hours hoping that it will stop but it didn’t happened to what we want. In this case, you should have an option B as your reserved plan. Like in our situation, since we don’t have a personal tent so we need to find a room for us to stay. Good thing was that we were able to provide an option B where a room accommodation near Burot was indicated. Don’t just stick to a single plan, be prepared all the time.

Rainy Vacation in Burot
It was the scenario when a southwest monsoon ruined our Burot Beach getaway. The experience was really a memorable happenings and one of a kind scenario. Most of the tents from the shoreline was sank in the flowing water. I was able to see a 2 cyclones on the far side of the ocean.

Overnight Stay

If you want to avail an affordable room in Calatagan Market, I will recommend this apartment type room we stayed for one night. Better to avail two rooms for only Php 800.00 unlike the Php 700.00 payment for a single room only. Look for the nearest Chooks To Go and you will eventually locate this room accommodation.

Church Time
Before you end this trip and totally leave the place of Calatagan, it is better if you visit first this beautiful church, it's just a walking distance from the room we stayed. Give thanks and praises to our Almighty God.
