Mt. Pamitinan & Mt. Binacayan |
Mt.
Pamitinan is located in Rodriguez, Rizal (formerly known as Montalban).
It is one of the most visited mountains in the province of Rizal since it’s
just 1-2 hours away from the Metro Manila. It is situated between the two other
mountains known as Mt. Binacayan and Mt. Hapunang Banoi. It is part of the
famous “Pentalogy Mountains” where hikers chose to climb the 5 nearby mountains
within the vicinity of Brgy. Wawa (Binacayan, Pamitinan & Hapunang Banoi)
and Brgy. Mascap (Sipit Ulang & Ayaas) in Rizal.
Mt. Pamitinan is considered as
a minor climb according to professional mountaineers but very technical in
terms of the whole trekking experience so the hiker must be well-oriented about
it before the start of the trek. It is covered by a forest, rich in bamboos and
has a lot of scattered sharp limestone rock formations throughout the trail.
Some endemic flora and fauna are can be found in this mountain like the small yellow-colored
snail. It also features nearby falls, river, 360’ view of Rodriguez and the
famous Sea of Clouds.
How to get there: Take a van in Cubao (beside Jollibee Farmers) bound for Rodriguez (Montalban), Rizal, fare is Php 50.00 and 1 – 1.5 hour travel time. Drop off at Eastwood then ride either tricycle (Php 60.00/Special) or Jeepney (10.00) but it will be available at 5AM. Drop off at Brgy. Wawa particularly in Wawa Tourism Office (Brgy. Hall).
Registration process starts at
exactly 4:30AM. The tourism officer is in-charged in providing a trained tour
guide per group (1:5). The hiker is required to sign a waiver and pay an amount
of Php 50.00 registration fee per head. Php 500.00 fixed rate should be given
directly to the tour guide after the hike but please, give an additional amount
because they are all awesome in terms of taking group and solo shots and of course by taking good care of their group. They were like professional photographer, swear!

The

Pakiayos yung information about guide fee. It's 500 per mountain. Not 500 whether it's single, twin hike or trilogy. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI don't get it? Baka binago na po yung bayad sa Guide Fee? Last time po kasi dated November 3, 2016 ay 500 lang po ang siningil samin kahit twin hike. Anyway, I'll just contact first my friend / guide to confirm it. Thanks!
