Lotus as seen in this lake
San Pablo City is known to be the home of “Seven Lakes” in the province of Laguna. The municipality of San Pablo is located in the southern-most part of Laguna and considered as one of the oldest cities in the country.

The Seven Lakes are:
  • Lake Sampaloc (San Pablo City Hall)
  • Lake Palakpakin (Brgy. San Buenaventura)
  • Lake Bunot (Brgy. Conception)
  • Lake Pandin (Brgy. San Lorenzo)
  • Lake Yambo (Brgy. San Lorenzo)
  • Lake Muhikap  (Brgy. Sta. Catalina)
  • Lake Calibato (Brgy. Sto. Angel)
Lake Sampaloc is an inactive volcanic maar on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. It is the largest of the seven lakes of San Pablo City. It’s located behind the municipal hall of San Pablo City. There’s nothing spectacular when you see it personally. It’s a normal lake with lotus plants and dotted with many fish pens and small cottages. What made this trip in Sampaloc Lake is the Bicycle or Pedicab ride that can be used to explore the whole circular land area around the lake.

The beauty of Sampaloc Lake

Don’t expect too much because most of the seven lakes are just normal and just dotted with many fish pens. You can enjoy your visit here by looking the best spot just to make your photo an amazing one. In Sampaloc Lake, the best spot for me is the area where Lotus Plants are scattered.

We were not able to capture the beauty of Bato Spring Resort due to holiday break that made the resort too crowded. I, myself loves the design of the whole resort. The water is really cold and very relaxing. There are many man-made waterfalls that can massage your exhausted body.
